The Gnaoua and World Music Festival is an annual music festival held in Essaouira, Morocco, usually in June. Created in 1998, it brings Gnaoua musicians together with invited artists from jazz, pop, rock and world music. It has drawn up to 500,000 visitors over its four days, according to reports.
