The Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre is an international theatre festival held in Cairo, Egypt, with performances, workshops and discussions. It is usually held in September, with recent editions at the Cairo Opera House and other venues in the city. It was founded in 1988 by Farouk Hosny, then Egypt's culture minister.
